How do you portray vulnerability? This self portrait, a submission for Mirror Mirror Artbook, is a vulnerable one for me, even though it shows me with a lot of confidence. Artists have a tendency to portray themselves as angsty, overthinking creatures. This piece shows my ambitions for the future. Why do you think artists’ self portraits are often serious and focused on shortcomings? Is this an internal struggle most artists have, or is it something that is expected from the outside world?
